Albinism Umbrella

This was a 6 months initiative under the Aga Khan Foundation “COVID-19 response program” whose objective was to improve the quality of life for vulnerable persons with albinism in the districts of Kampala and Wakiso. By the end of the project, over 150 vulnerable persons with albinism have been supported with medical care services which include but not limited to; eye check-ups, skin screening, HIV testing and counselling and distribution of assistive devices like sun screens, sun glasses, wide brimmed hats and readers. This was done in collaboration with Mengo Hospital – Low Vision Clinic.
