OUR IMPACT
Health is at our mission in Uganda and beyond, as it is paramount for the well-being and dignity of persons with albinism. Their unique genetic condition presents challenging situations, predominantly in their skin and eyes. Their skin’s susceptibility to skin cancer when exposed to harmful ultraviolent rays underscores the critical need for health support.
Persons with albinism are categorized as legally blind due to uncorrectable involuntary eye movement, they face immense barriers to living a dignified life. Health is not just a thematic area to us; it is a vital pillar that strives to lessen these health-related burdens and empower rights holders to live healthier, more inclusive, and fulfilling lives.
